  I disagree that add/remove is the best way to check. Fire up the task &lt;br&gt; manager and look at each running process. And run msconfig to see &lt;br&gt; what crap is running at startup. &lt;br&gt; And if he reinstalled windows from a manufacturer&#39;s (HP, Dell, etc) &lt;br&gt; recovery discs, it&#39;s very possible there may be a crippled or trial
